NAME: Ren Amamiya
CANON: Persona 5
CANON POINT: End of Game (Best Ending)
AGE: 17
BACKGROUND: Profile History is pretty extensive. Basically; did the right thing to help someone, was expelled for it, had adventures with friends in various skin-tight outfits while being used by a god-like entity for his personal game, Satan saved Christmas.
PERSONALITY:
- Confident
If there's one major trait about Ren, it's that despite any and all obstacles placed before him, he remains confident about his own skills and (most of all) himself and his convictions. This permits him not only to fight efficiently, but he's completely ready to go on full ham if he needs be - Ren is certainly not above making terrible puns...and honestly tends to do so a lot. Even when he takes on a slightly calmer more silent personality, hiding his true rebellion nature, there's an air to him that suggests there's more to him than meets the eye and he's perfectly content with that.
- Rebellious/Defiant
Speaking of rebellious, Ren is very much the 'row row fight the power' type of guy. Well, more like 'punish the shitty adults that deserve it'. When him and his friends obtained the power to go into the metaverse and the ability to change the hearts of people to essentially force them to become better people, he fully took on the role. Ren is the type to look at the safe path, not give a shit about it, and then walk right into the more dangerous one if it promises to be more interesting. He'll stand up to others who threaten him, and will do the same for those that become close to him.
- Kind-Hearted
Continuing the gentleman thief characteristics, Ren's own heart is in the right place. Even if his methods are not exact orthodox and he can be a little shit, in the end he always tries to do the right thing. Even if the right thing is not always the easiest or the most popular, or gets you expelled from your school. He cares deeply about his friends and his family and is more than willing to protect them at all costs, including his own life.
If you make a friend of Ren, you've made a friend for life.
- Over-Confident/Cocky
Someone who catches on to who Ren is may be able to manipulate him and use his confidence against him. An example of this in the game is when the Phantom Thieves become increasingly popular; Ren doesn't really question himself why this is happening and how they are suddenly incredibly well-known. He just takes it as a simple reaction to the public being on his side and what they are doing. Unfortunately this comes crashing in their faces, and they are essentially played and toyed with to grave consequences. Playing against his cocky attitude can work well too.
- Reckless
Going hand-in-hand with the over-confidence is the recklessness that accompanies Ren's actions can put him in serious danger. As mentioned before, he's willing to die for his friend, and will do stupid stunts to keep them safe. At worst, this could lead to terrible things and endangering his own life. Make him believe a friend is in danger and, well, you can easily manipulate him. Just be careful who you're trying to trick. The trickster will not be pleased.
POWERS/ABILITIES:
PERSONAS
As with other characters from the Persona universe and the series' namesake, Ren has the ability to summon parts of him made flesh to combat the hardships of life. But Ren is a little more special than that:
WILD CARD PERSONA ABILITY
The Wild Card Ability represents the number zero. It is infinite possibilities and lets Ren use any Persona he can craft in the Velvet Room, compared to his friends who are limited to just one. This is why his code name in the Phantom Thieves if Joker; he is their ace in the hole.
Personas grant him a number of skills in both magical and physical sense (although the Personas are doing the actions, not Ren himself). He can cast various fire, ice, lightning and wind spells with some, create barriers that protect against physical or magical attacks, heal wounds, charm monsters, or even cause mini-nuclear blowouts with his more powerful ones.
DUAL WILD CARD SPECIAL
If a Wild Card user meets another, it also grants the ability for non-wildcard persona users to be able to switch to an a single, additional Persona as well (this was shown in Persona Q and will be in PErsona Q2). I mention this in case another Wild Card ends up getting accepted in the game. I have no idea if this applicable to the game at all, but I thought it important to note.
PERSONA USER BUFF
All Persona users get increased endurance and agility. Attacks that would normally kill or badly harm someone might just be incredibly painful for them (so basically, the difference between bleeding to death from a wind attack, vs feeling like someone punched you really hard in your gut). This changes drastically depending on which Persona is 'equipped' in Ren's mind. A persona that is weak to fire would cause a much larger burn than normal, for example.
DAGGERS
Ren is extremely skilled with his blade and overall dagger usage in general. In a pinch he can even use kitchen knifes if he doesn't have his trusted weapons.
AGILITY
He is above average build and strength, enhanced thanks to his Persona skills, but Ren's true skill is his inhumane agility. He can almost cartoonishly move from one place to another without being seen, and is the very definition of a gentleman thief, here today, already gone when you show up. When he's Joker, his abilities to sneak are increased to an even greater degree.
3RD EYE
This is something that 'Igor' (Yaldabaoth) gave him. While the 3rd eye was mostly used in the metaverse, it does have some usage 'real world' (to spot your social links, npcs, etc), To use it, Ren just has to think about it and BAM instant color-coded vision.
Copied from the wiki;
- Stealable items gain a yellow glow.
- Intractable places like gaps and ledges have exclamation marks over them.
- Overworld shadows gain a glowing outline that depends on how threatening they are. Hardest ones gain a red outline, medium ones gain a yellow one and the least dangerous encounters glow with a blue color.
- In the real world, Third Eye can be used to examine on-screen locations that can be used for daily activities (NPCs, shops, confidants and Velvet Room locations).
I figure this could be interesting, and plan on using it for various heists that Ren might end up doing depending on what happens in the game. I also feel for this game the colors might be more NEON if you catch my meaning.
DANCING
He can dance pretty well as shown from the Persona 5 dancing game (look don't judge my franchise it can get pretty weird, still waiting for the racing game it will totally happen one day just you watch)
INVENTORY:
1) Summon | Persona : Satanael Elemental Build
2) Summon | Persona : Yoshitsune
3) Summon | Persona : Trumpeter
4) Summon | Persona : Ishtar (Note this Persona may end up being changed, I wasn't sure which one to keep, I hope that is okay)
5) Weapon | Gun : Tyrant Pistol (Ma +10) IMPORTANT GAME NOTE: In the game, the weapon wasn't real and only worked because it looked real in the metaverse for people to believe it. Let me know if it would work since I assume he can summon and this world has Metaverse-like properties!
6) Weapon | Dagger : Paradise Lost (Reduce Curse dmg (high) - Same deal here. This is a hyper realistic dagger that isn't a real dagger in the real world normally.
MOONBLESSING: CORDIS if you think Ren is not going full on cat boy do I have a surprise for youPurrrrrsona.

Name: Ren Amamiya
Canon: Persona 5 (Original) + Prisma CRAU
Age: 18
Appearance: Normal | Joker | Prisma Joker (While Moonblessed)
Canon Point: End of game (Best Ending) + Prisma CRAU
Background: The Wiki's Profile History is pretty extensive. Basically; did the right thing to help someone, was expelled for it, had adventures with friends in various skin-tight outfits while being used by a god-like entity for his personal game, Satan saved Christmas.
CRAU:
- Prismatica, to make the long TLDR a little shorter, was a sex-positive game. While Ren didn't have too (it was not a make out or die situation basically), he was highly encouraged by the locals due to the fact that the newcomers to the world were basically living batteries, able to generate Chroma from their bodies which could be used to heal the planet. And you know, for this service they got money that could be exchanged for goods and services.
- So in a world where hand holding got you some spending money, and making out was more the norm than seen as bad, Ren thrived a lot. He Ran a coffee shop, bought a barrel of lube one time, got a kotatsu, had someone install lasers and a hovering module on it, had Wildcard Parties (2!) and basically helped the world by being both a Phantom Thief and also a smooching hooligan. Basically:
- Due to Prisma also allowing CRAUs, it does mean that Ren knows about other worlds as a concept as well, along with knowing there could be more than one of the same person (even if in this world, not at the same time) More importantly, one of the two Anns and Ryujis of his canon that he met in Prismatica were CRAU'd from Duplicity, so he is also aware of other worlds having darker implications.
- Age wise, he is about a year older, not much changes physically when he is normal
- However, once a month (since no moon), Ren becomes moonblessed, meaning he changes into
a furry basicallyactually yeah pretty much a furry. There are additional powers (listed in the powers sections) in relation to that, but since Prismatica was very laissez-vous affaire, said powers could or could not be active during a moon phase, meaning that one month he could be really hungry, the other month he could just have cat ears and nothing else. It's a mystery every time!- Obviously he has a lot more knowledge of other worlds and people. While he was a social little butterfly in his own canon, he did meet a lot of people that were important to him there as well that were not from his canon.
Weaknesses/Temptations:
- Bruh why is everyone so hot (Prisma Weakness / Personality)
Yeah so being stuck a year into a world that is so sex-positive and basically has no trouble with morals as long as everyone is having fun and enjoying himself, it's hard for Ren to just...stop that in full.
- Over-Confident/Cocky (Canon Weakness / Personality)
Someone who catches on to who Ren is may be able to manipulate him and use his confidence against him. An example of this in the game is when the Phantom Thieves become increasingly popular; Ren doesn't really question himself why this is happening and how they are suddenly incredibly well-known. He just takes it as a simple reaction to the public being on his side and what they are doing. Unfortunately this comes crashing in their faces, and they are essentially played and toyed with to grave consequences. Playing against his cocky attitude can work well too.

As mentioned before, he's willing to die for his friend, and will do stupid stunts to keep them safe. At worst, this could lead to terrible things and endangering his own life. Make him believe a friend is in danger and, well, you can easily manipulate him.
- Moonblessing (Prismatica Weakness / Personality)
So it's only once a month now, but booooi howdy it's like everything's turned up to 11 if all of the effects go full swing and Ren becomes irresistible for others. So he's not just an issue to himself, but anyone who is with him.
Sins:
CANON
- Rebelling (just a general "Rebelling")
- Changing hearts using the metaverse
- Using demonic and angelic aspects of oneself to fight inside the Metaverse
- Nonconsensual Polygamy with 5 women (since he couldn't say no to them even while he was dating another)
- Befriending demons and turning them into Personas
- Robbery
- Trespassing
- Participating in persona executions to gain more powerful personas and/or weapons
- Illegal Gambling (inside someone's mind)
- Refusing to give up the names of confidants during interrogation
- Pretending to be dead
- Participating in an illegal broadcast
- Attempting to Steal the World
- Shooting a god using a bullet made up of the seven deadly sins on Christmas day
- Riding inside of a vehicle repaired by a cat using stolen goods from a nearby police department undercover car.
- Riding a magical cat bus
PRISMATICA

- Wildcard Party #2
- Owning a full barrel of lube
- Cardinal relationships with x (This is repeated about 30-40 or so times, each with a different name)
- Cardinal relationships with a known murderer
- Defeating gods of this world
- Rampaging with a 50 feet tall Satanael
- Potentially messing up timeline
- Killing local wildlife (This was during events to save people, but well, a sin is a sin is a sin)
- Unable to turn charm down
Powers/Abilities:
CANON
When entering Penance, Ren will have access only to Arsene, although it will be a little more powered up than a level 1 Arsene due to his experience. Something a bit like this, if that is acceptable.
PERSONA USER BUFF / WEAKNESS
All Persona users get increased endurance and agility. Attacks that would normally kill or badly harm someone might just be incredibly painful for them (so basically, the difference between bleeding to death from a wind attack, vs feeling like someone punched you really hard in your gut). This changes drastically depending on which Persona is 'equipped' in Ren's mind. Since he only has Arsene, this means that he is weak to ice and light/holy attacks even if they don't come from a persona user.
DAGGERS
Ren is extremely skilled with his blade and overall dagger usage in general. In a pinch he can even use kitchen knives if he doesn't have his trusted weapon.
When he's moonblessed, he's basically a blur since his Cordis gives him an even greater agility.
3RD EYE
This is something that 'Igor' (Yaldabaoth) gave him. While the 3rd eye was mostly used in the metaverse, it does have some usage 'real world' (to spot your social links, npcs, etc), To use it, Ren just has to think about it and BAM instant color-coded vision. For Penance I was thinking it could be used in this manner:
- Stealable items gain a bright yellow glow.
- Intractable places like gaps and ledges have exclamation marks over them. It's like having a real-life phone overlay
- Demons gain a glowing outline that depends on how threatening they are compared to Ren. Hardest ones gain a neon red outline, medium ones gain a yellow one and the least dangerous encounters glow with a blue color. So Lucifer, for example would be bright red. I might poke the mods during interactions, I hope that is okay.
- Friends connections allows him to 'see' then via their Arcana over their heads. This only works if Ren is friends with them, however.
PRSIMATICA POWERS
MOONBLESSING
First, a link to the original game's page which explains moonblessings in full.
Ren's Moonblessing is Cordis (because of course he'd have the cat-friendly one). As per discussed with the mods before apping, the Moonblessing will only happen once per month. Effects will vary based the page listed above, but nothing that will be game-breaking. Typically, the form will be cat ears, fox feet, black owl wings, cat claws and arms, cat nose.
If allowed, once every three moonblessings, he could also have an exalted moonblessing, which means a more nine-tailed fox form and slightly different powers.
Power wise, the moonblessing grants Ren the following abilities (note that again unless stated otherwise, these only happen during his moonblessing day);
- Produces pheromones that attract everyone in their immediate vicinity.
- Fast metabolism. (They want to eat as much as possible and/or make out a lot)
- Supernatural speed and agility
- Very minor ice magic (e.g. cooling food, freezing a surface). Two things about this power:
-- One of the items Ren is bringing is the Dusklight Bracelet which allows him to keep one power even when he is not moonblessed. For now, that power will be very minor ice magic to give his slap an extra oomph. Also hilariously it will be slightly painful because, well due to Arsene he's weak to ice.
--Another item, if Ren is allowed to keep it, is the Moonstone Necklace. With it, the ice magic is intensified and during the Moonblessing day ONLY (so once per month) he freeze large objects such as trees, groups of people, etc. Apart from that single day, it only works as minor ice magic.
KITSUNE BOON
- A boon granted by the kitsunes due to helping them out, Ren has learned how to do a series of ninja movements (think Naruto) with his hands that creates a small sphere where the people inside can talk without being afraid of being spied on. Basically, anyone who looks in on them would just see mouths moving.
Items: Characters will be allowed up to six personal items in game, not including whatever clothes they're wearing. All items must be able to fit in a duffel bag. The only thing they won't be allowed are pets from home.
SAMPLES
Network: Please show us how your character will handle speaking over the network. Linked samples from the TDM, past games, memes, etc. are all fine. We do ask that you don't include TFLN posts.
Log: Like above, linked samples from any source are fine.
While there's no strict word requirement, we do ask that you show samples that you feel clearly show your grasp on the character and their motivations/how they interact with others.
